Iβm helping a small supported living team get ready for buccal midazolam training. Some staff are feeling nervous about giving rescue medication. For those who have taken the course how was it structured? Was there hands-on practice using syringes? How did the assessment work? Iβd also like to know how you need to refresh your competency. Do employers usually require epilepsy awareness training ? Did the training help you feel more calm during a seizure? Any practical tips, for staff or things you wish you had known before starting would be really helpful. |
